Covid Mishandling (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by despiterealis
So our store recently had someone who worked a lot of hours test positive for covid and it seems we aren't doing much about it if anything at all. We barely closed when we found out and there was no deep cleaning of our store. Not all partners who came in close contact with that partner during the day they showed symptoms has been notified by the SM. All the store has done is reduce hours but the staff that is there most of which have still come in contact with that partner including the SM. The SM had went to get tested only after they found out.. it hasn't even been a day yet. Nothing is being done properly, partners are not being told to isolate. DM is equally as inept and negligent, they especially is one who advocates for quickly moving forward trying to open the cafe back. We have called ethics and will be calling the health department. Honestly though, w t f. Im so frustrated at how this is all going down. I was literally right next to this partner their entire shift prior to them having symptoms show up that night. Where do I go from here because we've already complained to who we can complain to and nothing seems to be getting done or have any consequences. Is there anyway we could have partners be in insolation without getting fired?
