What is a tetra pack 1 or 4 boxes ? (self.starbucksbaristas)

There is some confusion about The meaning of tetra pack I was asked to pick up one tetra pack of purée from another store myself and my manager said this meant one pack of four boxes. But others are saying it means only one box ?

a tetra is what the carton is called that the purée comes in. so one tetra is one box. but a “tetra pack” is confusing wording. i guess i would agree with your manager that it’s a pack of tetras.
but the actual starbucks terms that should be used are cases and eaches. so you’re either picking up one case of puree (4) or one each (1).

After working at starbucks I've realized how big Tetra is. I was curious one day at the grocery store and suddenly all the cartons that aren't regular milk are Tetrapak TM

Definitely agree proper wording should have been used, but imo OP was in the right. The boxes aren't called Tetras technically, that's a shortening and generification of Tetra Pak, the brand name of the manufacturer (or perhaps the product name, Tetra Brik Aseptic.).
