Okay. I’ve worked at a handful of stores for the past 4 years and each store has a different opinion on if the grilled cheese is butter down or butter up. I had my old manager told me it was butter down and always did so after that. But the new store I’m at the majority says butter up and I even got scolded about disagreeing with them.

It's butter down, but if you do it butter up it drips less grease.

Yeah, I think it even says on the package to do it butter side down but I cook it butter side up because I value my safety.

I know it’s butterside down but I do it butter side up because it’s not worth 3rd degree grease burns when you’re trying to take it out the oven, for me at least

I cook it butter up, but it doesn't matter regardless.
