i’m in the process of transferring too! my sm told me the process should be given like a month. but if you’re comfortable discussing it with your sm, let them know that you will be transferring at some point so they can give you their advice. i started by calling stores in that area and asked if they were taking transfers. make a list of the stores you’re interested in and then when you’re ready you can share that list with your sm so they can get in contact. your sm will have you fill out a transfer form where you put your top store choices and then they’ll send it off to your current dm for approval. after that it’s sent to the dm/sm of where you want to transfer and then once that’s approved you should be good to go!
