What happens when to your pay when you transfer? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I plan on moving in with my boyfriend to a different part of my state next year and am curious if I move to a smaller town, will my pay decrease? I will be moving from Spokane, WA to Ellensburg, WA. Any insight to what happened with people’s pay when they transferred would be helpful!

There’s a partner at my store who transferred from out of state and kept his increased rate of pay....so I would look into that

Yes, your pay will increase or decrease to be commensurate with how you fit into the spectrum of barista/ss pay in new location. I can't be specific because I'm not familiar with the details in your area, unfortunately. When I moved from Large City to Medium City, both in the Midwest, I dropped about $2/hr.
