I had a situation at my store that involved more than a few people.
The chain of action for our store:
Someone calls partner resources gives them all of the information they can. They must include names and facts. If they can’t give facts, gives names of those who can.
Resources has a third party audit the situation and decide what to do - no one that works at Starbucks makes the final decision, there is no bias. They will call all of the people who have witnessed it/whose names were given.
My advice is not to talk about it with the other people involved because you don’t want your stories to sound too similar, as in it is rehearsed. And DO NOT TALK TO ANYONE OUTSIDE OF THE SITUATION ABOUT IT. PERIOD.
If you are SM or DM are involved in the scandal in way that they could lose job, resources will not tell them what is going on. However, if they are not directly involved they will be informed.
So, if you tried to address it with them and they’ve been dismissive, they have no choice but to follow the instructions of resources. BUT THEY CANNOT RETALIATE AGAINST ANY OF YOU.
The antagonist at our store ended up being fired, but it was after a surprisingly long time. (Months. However, it was around the worst part of the pandemic; I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. Plus there were many many many witnesses involved).
Be honest, relax. Starbucks has a ZERO TOLERANCE retaliation policy. If your managers tries to cut your hours or even have a petty attitude towards they can get in a ton of trouble. Document everything if you’re afraid of retaliation.
Worse comes to worse, they’ll transfer everyone to different stores.
