You probably won’t be able to get it open because of the pressure, tbh. Not impossible but It would take a lot of effort.

But if you can manage to get it off, the top might pop up into your face (hard, like I said its a lot of pressure) and you’ll get a nice burst of air. There’s a lot of pressure it there, and it’s probably dangerous to open it without depressurizing it.

Can we not spread misinformation saying it's impossible? If an accident were to happen and it did some how slip past it would shoot out of the keg and lacerate someone or knock them out. It's similar to changing a split rim tire with out letting the air out aswell

No one ever taught me how to vent them when I came back to the bux after a hiatus, so I would just curb stomp the lid to open them. It always made a bang and was scary

Same thing that happens when you unscrew a whip without letting the nitrous oxide out

I mean if you can manage to open it without letting the air out you might be the hulk but it would probably just shoot the lid into your face so always make sure it’s depressurized before opening it.
