I hit peak sexual harassment at work at age 16. I've been getting less and less of it as I get older (and I'm not that old). So creepy that these guys specifically target the young and vulnerable.

That is harassment, and I’ve been doing this so long that I either call them out in a rude way or just walk the fuck away. What is Starbucks gonna do when you say you were defending yourself from sexual harassment? Nothing, because if they do you can file a complaint against them. Seriously, your safety matters so much more than a coffee or “customer connection”. Talk to your peers, because the girls (and guys, everyone) at my store know to come get ME if being harassed, because after my sexual assault from a customer 5 years ago I straight up will bully these creepy men out of harming my partners. See if anyone at your store will even just ring up or hand off their drink to the scary customers so that you don’t have to. In a perfect world, whoever’s in charge of the shift should be 100% down to do that for you and protect you. I’m really so sorry as a young girl you have a deal with this, it’s so unfair and it’s a daily battle we fight.

My “favorite” is the guys who look at your name tag and ask for your number after you ask for their name for their order. Like obviously not flirting with you and you are being a creep
