Booooooxanne!

What’s bar time? Never heard of it.

Fast forward a year and you suddenly kick yourself for ever asking to be put on bar when you never ever get a break from it and just want to go to DTO/DTR... or HO! I never get to be the HO.

We were closed for almost 2 weeks so most of our customers continued to assume we were closed. Otherwise we wouldn't have had the time lol. Also we're cafe only so no DT to deal with.

OPs store has staffing issues because they spend their time building boxanne

I'm in a tourist town and people are starting to travel again. But the tier of people who work min wage ran out of money about 3 months into lockdown, and moved away. It's too expensive for them to move back. So, huge staffing issues everywhere. Some restaurants are reducing hours and closing some days due to lack of staff.


At least that's what happening here. Some are claiming it's because the unemployment benefits pay more than min wage, but this is more what I've been seeing. Min wage people either leaving for more affordable places, or finding other ways to support themselves. I've also seen some starting their own businesses, and once you figure out how to support yourself as your own boss it's hard to go back to a "regular" job.
