Seeking a job at Starbucks(self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by ssj_david
I recently applied for a job at Starbucks. My last job was delivering for Amazon, which I absolutely hated. Just wondering what I can expect from Starbucks if I were to get hired?

Heyya! I’ve been there for six months now. Honestly i think the people you work with are the make or break. Im a teen working there so I’m not living off my wages, if that’s the case for you than may wanna look for something more manageable as lots of hours barely gets you by but with a high amount of stress. However, if you have good co-workers, and if you aren’t working for the busiest location ever (ugh)- than it’s honestly not too bad. I love my job right now but i think the main thing i’ve determined is that this is not a final place job/don’t expect to work here forever. Hmmm what else, the stress is a big thing for me. If you aren’t a people person or do well under stress it may come as difficult. However if you enjoy a challenge I’m sure you’d like it! Any other questions just ask ☺️

Thanks for your response! I’m in a similar situation as you, it’s just going to be temporary until I finish school. I’m really just looking for something better than my last job as it became unbearable. I appreciate your feedback!

Well, it depends on the Starbucks but in most stores especially drive thrus I can tell you it won’t be much better. Some Starbucks are also really unrealistic and have toxic management.

Fast paced environment, requires multitasking skill, is heavily customer service oriented, but overall most importantly they just want friendly people with good attitude. The benefits are awesome and if you’re a big coffee drinker you’ll absolutely enjoy learning all about drinks. If you’re not, it’s still fun! This has been my favorite job I’ve ever had so far.
