am I the only one who weirdly despises having to heat things? like sometimes i’ll be the only barista on the floor who can get to the oven at that moment to heat something and I do it but idk it’s just annoying. Also I always burn myself by accident. am I alone lmao? i just think heating stuff is annoying. but ik it’s necessary.

I just tell my coworkers that my people have a bad history with ovens.

i feel like the ovens contribute to so much wasted time when its busy. like people wanting me to double toast egg bites and then i get burnt and i cant ring thru the line as fast as i could lol. and then i feel anxious cause my back is turned and people are waiting to order. my store sells so much food tho!! its weird bc as a customer, i never really went to starbucks for the food

i'm put almost exclusively on oven and it definitely beats doing DTW for me, but i HATE when people order more than 2 food items especially during peak and ESPECIALLY when it's during peak and it's a mobile. for some reason people love to order like 8 egg bites and 5 wraps on mobile while we're slammed and it makes me want to throw myself into the oven

Id only despise it if that's what I was having to do day after day. I cant do register and they wanted to swap me out I'm bar to train other people so in my last few weeks i was almost exclusively warming.
