A women ordered vanilla sweet cream cold brews with vanilla sweet cream cold foam on top as a mobile order. There was four of them. When she picked them up at the drive though she was shocked to see we added sweet cream to her cold brews and kept talking about how she orders them all the time blah blah blah. I told her we’d remake them even before she started complaining yet she seemed to love the sound of her own voice. She even called someone on her phone and complained as my amazingly patient coworker remade them.
As he was remaking them she tried giving me the cold brews that we “messed up” back to throw out. Due to COVID policy as y’all know we cannot take trash at the drive through. For my own safety and to not get yelled at I told her to keep them to drink or that she had to throw them out herself.
She now started yelling to whoever she was on the phone about this and i couldn’t stay to explain this simple thing to her as I was holding down drive and had to take another order. As I’m doing this she angrily gets out of her car and leaves the tray of drinks in our drive through. I alert the people in my store about this completely appalled and straight up go over to tell her that quite frankly that is rude(I was feeling bold) and we are just following COVID policy and there’s no reason for her to do this. She said “I know but you guys have a trash can. My understandably upset coworker had to go outside to clean up her trash yelling as she did this. She gets her drinks and continues to sit there like a child throwing a tantrum. I simply asked her if her drinks were right this time and when she said yes for some reason looking shocked, I told her to have a nice day in the most customer friendly fuck you voice I could manage.
Sorry for the long post this story just needed details so y’all could understand how horribly privileged and I unempathetic the people who come to my Starbucks are :)
