Hello, I’m going to universal studios Hollywood this weekend and I plan to use a free drive redemption there. Do they accept stars there? I tried to do that at city walk and they said they couldn’t.

unfortunately any theme park store (disney, universal, seaworld if they have it, etc.) are only licensed stores, so they can't accept partner markouts or stars.

This is true EXCEPT both Starbucks at Disney Springs are corporate locations.
