pro tip- it takes more time and isn’t technically standard but i always shake my iced matchas without ice, add ice to the cup and then use a spoon to strain off the foam as i pour it from the shaker. had one too many b*tches yell at me for too much foam and now here we are 🥲

Ice first, matcha second, then milk, and shake. It’s not standard (I don’t think?) but the fat in the milk is what causes the clumps. Works every time and you won’t ever have to redo it or shake it a ridiculous amount to have to strain the foam! 😊

I strain the OG ice out when I pour the drink and add more ice to the cup! I realize I’m wasting a bit of ice but it’s less time consuming and a better end produce imo (until you drop a shaker on the ground 😩)

So this isn't standard at all but, if you pour the milk to the top line in the cup and then add the matcha and classic and then put it in the CF pitcher and press 3 for wet cold foam, it blends it all and makes life Hella easier.

Almond milk is just terrible for developing quality foam. I just do the best I can with 2 pitchers of the stuff and scoop whatever I can. Usually I'll come in an inch short of the lid but the customer doesn't complain (thank god).

If I recall correctly, an EM would typically be in the short cup with a designated number of shots, whereas the dry cap would be at a size decided by the customer which is the problem. I can get the scoop and a half of foam for an EM on my worst day, but when you get to Grande+ size that you can end up hitting a speedbump in those rushes

EM comes short by default but in that case itd be a EM Venti Almond Extra Foam since you can change the size of that one as well and how he gets it is in fact an EM. it costs less too most likely, customers just like to be aggresive

We tell them to pull forward into a parking space and we’ll bring their drink out to them. Or if the bar person hears it in time, we can get the tea steeping right then and it’ll usually be ready by the time they get up to the window.

We have one lady who mobile orders an iced matcha and then throws a fit when we make it to standard because it’s “too green”. The other day she mobile ordered it and I caught it thankfully, so I just used one less scoop of matcha and it was STILL “too green”. Next time, I’m only using 2 scoops of matcha and if she still complains it’s “too green” I’m gonna tell her I used half the recommended scoops of the matcha powder so if it’s still too damn green, don’t order the matcha 🤷🏻♀️

I hate making refreshers/ shaken teas because I literally can’t multitask while making them. Everything else I can somewhat multitask while making.
I hate taking orders for things like ‘chocolate caramel’ latte or ‘chocolate vanilla’ latte. People just say it so casual like it’s on the menu. It’s not a big deal to modify, but I get unreasonably annoyed by those orders.
