aside from having a racist and homophobic boss who serves ppl food that’ll get them sick from not properly being thawed and making his staff uncomfortable with his political talk and flirting I passed out on my shift this morning from the exhaustion so I’ve decided after being mistreated since January I am putting my physical and mental well being first and am ghosting my job. peace out Starbucks I hate you.

i’m sorry you’re going through that. you definitely should see if there’s someone higher up you can complain to. the company is supposed to defend you and a bigot has no place as a manager. i hear a lot of mixed things about the partner experience and it seems like a lot of it really depends on the store. i love my job and i’m sorry you’re having the opposite experience. i hope things get better, and good luck.

Try escalating this. That’s not normal. I was certain racial bias training was required and part of policy. I wouldn’t give up like this. Stay! Someone in corporate is there to help in situations like this.

It's probably for the best for you, but maybe you should report it to a higher up so your other partners don't have to deal with it?

oh I will I don’t see why everyone thinks I won’t

Everyone probably thinks you won’t because ghosting typically implies a total and abrupt end to contact.
