the co-workers really make the job for me. i look forward to seeing my co-workers and working with them because they are funny, genuine, and supportive. my store manager put a lot of thought into who he hired because our team is fantastic and i’m so thankful for that. making drinks and actually working can be fun too! sometimes i really enjoy talking to a customer or will encounter one who is exceptionally polite and those interactions can boost my spirit. but at the end of the day it’s my co-workers that make the job.

Literally same. I got this job with the intention of leaving after a year or so to go back to school but my coworkers have become some of my favorite people and I’m trying to change my plans for next year bc I don’t want to leave them! I feel like I fit in at Starbucks and I’ve never felt that way anywhere else, it makes the job genuinely enjoyable.

Yeah, it’s the coworkers for me as well.

Trick question. I love my actual job. I love coffee. I love barring. I love my coworkers. I love my SM. But Starbucks corporate is on something else. It's like they want their partners and customers to hate them. The low staffing and ridiculous drinks and the fake connection pushing has got to stop. I genuinely miss how it used to be. I used to be excited to walk into work every day. Now I count the minutes until I can leave for the day.

I really dislike it at the moment, but there was potential. My entire region just has the worst management ever or something but I do like most of my coworkers, and if it paid a living wage I wouldn't mind staying for a few years or so.
