Nice customer stories are all too rare so I wanted to share.
I work in a fairly new store and we just hit our first 3k day while understaffed on our close so it was a long night. We got a DT about half an hour before close and she ordered her drink and then asked how many of us were working, we told her, and she told us to add a drink on for each of us from her.
It was the sweetest thing and we made sure to let her know how appreciated and how needed it was today of all days.

We have a regular who is just the sweetest guy. His dog died at the start of 2020, and we all tried our best to help get him through it since he's always been a great customer- always nice, always talks and tips. End of 2020 he gets a new dog and comes through to show her off the day he picked her up, she's so cute
Anyway on Christmas day 2020 he came in, ordered, then handed one of our baristas an envelope. Said it was for all of us for helping him through loosing his dog. In that envelope there were 5 $100 bills

That’s so sweet of him! I’m in the UK and we’re not allowed to accept tips so it was a very nice gesture on her part

Oh wow! I'm in the US, so that was split among everyone who worked that day. Tips were about 81 USD for me, and I worked like 5 hours I think?

That’s super sweet of them to offer but I hope you didn’t make them pay for 5 more drinks as we get them for free to begin with !!

No there were only 2 of us luckily! And we did the smallest cheapest drinks we could!
