SM who has only been here for a week low-key threatened to make me “look bad” because I called out sick during my two weeks 😑 (self.starbucksbaristas)

My store recently got a new SM and she got upset that I called out during my two weeks even though I didn’t want to call out, I was genuinely not feeling well? She told me that “if you have your two weeks you shouldn’t call out because if you want to be rehired they’ll see that” basically threatening me and suggesting that I am faking being sick and also I have a right to call out! my two weeks has nothing to do with this, except now I realise that I’m making the right decision to quit such a toxic environment.
It should also be mentioned that my schedule was changed and no one notified me. I was supposed to go in the afternoon for a 5 hour shift and I look this morning and I’m scheduled for a 8.5 hour shift. I knew with the way I was feeling there was no way I’d be able to get through that long of a shift. so maybe i should have been notified of the schedule changes if she wanted to be upset about it?
The employee turnover at my store is so bad too probably because anyone who is not white or not white passing gets consistently thrown under the bus, ridiculed, humiliated, and just treated terribly by customers AND other baristas. Just yesterday this customer who always gets upset when anyone not white makes her drinks told my coworker that her drink needed more water in it and my coworker rather than just remaking it takes it and tells her “you’ve never had to tell me to remake your drinks.” I have complained about this customer’s other behaviour (such as yelling at specific baristas that they’re making her drink wrong while we’re not even working on her drink, making a point to tell the shift when we make her drink “wrong” and also engaging in—often micro aggressive— GOSSIP about other baristas when she doesn’t even work here) to a shift and was told “you don’t understand the relationship we have with her” Yeah because I don’t understand how a customer will yell at you about something stupid and youll ban them but when multiple baristas who are not white are telling you that she is aggressive towards them you do nothing. Anyway, including myself we’ve had about 4 baristas leave. We have also had people who didn’t even give the place a chance (rightfully) since two people have been hired and literally quit a few days later after seeing the environment.
Also the fact that my manager has only been here a week and has decided what kind of person everyone is so UGH. When she found out I was quitting she said “things will get better now that I’m here” not realizing that my old manager was never the problem it’s almost all my coworkers who are just so horrible. Any time I tried to open the conversation about the work environment she brought it back to my old manager meaning she clearly did not want to hear that side of the story. I wanted to tell her, well luckily for you I don’t want to work for this company ever again!! But I don’t know where I’ll be in 10 years and don’t want to risk it but at the same time considering her threat apparently she’s gonna be rude about me calling out for the second time in my entire Starbucks career (but she wouldn’t know that since she’s been here for one week 😑)
I’m so tired of this stupid place 😪
