Stores with higher volumes like drive thrus with cafes store inclusions and powders In white containers to avoid restocking constantly . If you’ve ever worked at a drive thru you know how fast inclusions go in those little bowls so this is def more efficient . For those asking
Anxious_Database 49 points 2y ago
I work at the highest volume drive through store in our whole district and we use market jars for inclusions and powders.
Cloven1137 10 points 2y ago
Us too! It’s so frustrating
Donald26069 5 points 2y ago
I was literally going to say the same thing. We are the highest volume store in our dristict PERIOD and we make so many refreshers it’s ridiculous. We have to have like 6 market jars of Strawberries and that lasts us 2 or 3 hours.
freethememesformeme 2 points 2y ago
Same 🙄
Webshooter38 11 points 2y ago
I'm at a low volume store and honestly we could do that with our inclusions. They go so quickly
theskyissobluetoday 4 points 2y ago
We are an 80% drive store and we’re switching to shelves and bowls soon :-/ not looking forward to it
smellymelly1996 2 points 2y ago
Ooof that’s gunna suck they hold way less for sure best of luck 😭
jdalexandria 2 points 2y ago
The bowls aren't actually that bad. And we store our fruit in a cabinet right in front of our cold bar so it's an easy stocking transition. And the shelves have a lot of stacking space.
egiappaige 117 points 2y ago
Wait why are the inclusions in those containers?
goldfishmuncher [OP] 58 points 2y ago
we keep them in those and scoop them out with spoons, where does your store keep them...?
boxinghamster16 144 points 2y ago
My store keeps them in actual inclusion containers. This just seems like it would take up too much space
youjustgottaignite 92 points 2y ago
Same here. I think storing the inclusions in those containers will be better though. I don’t have to refill them every 10 minutes lol.
goldfishmuncher [OP] 51 points 2y ago
i dont know what those are lol. my store is very old school... we still have mastrena 1s and we dont carry kiwi starfruit haha
gabbysafari 71 points 2y ago
at my store at least we have small brown rectangular containers that can hold probably 1-2 bag of each inclusion. the containers are then stacked on little black shelves with our teas on top
TheDoubleDan 21 points 2y ago
As the dude always on CS, I'd love this. I have to restock strawberry inclusions like 20 times a shift because we also use the little inclusion containers. But yeah we also wouldn't have room for them :(
rosesandthorns17 6 points 2y ago
we keep our java chips, matcha powder, and vanilla bean powder in the brown containers as well
addiekrabbypatty 1 points 2y ago
That was my thought exactly. Our cold bar is already cramped.
CalDoesMaths 2 points 2y ago
My store keeps stuff we go through a lot in those large containers too
VentiEggBite 29 points 2y ago
I’m most impressed by the lack of matcha all over everything
[deleted] 22 points 2y ago
Y’all got blackberries? 🥲
tinydesthique 11 points 2y ago
y’all don’t have blackberries for the Very Berry Hibiscus? 🥺
dazedandconfusedhere 6 points 2y ago
My store has been out of blackberries
[deleted] 5 points 2y ago
No omg we keep running out 😭 we haven’t had them for a few days now
goldfishmuncher [OP] 3 points 2y ago
we have blackberries but not kiwi!!
[deleted] 11 points 2y ago
Oh we have plenty of kiwi LOL
noob_trees 3 points 2y ago
Lmfao we only ever ran out once and it was when all the other refreshers ran out first.
[deleted] 3 points 2y ago
The kiwi refresher is such an underrated drink tbh, I really like it but I get made fun of for drinking it lol
weallfellintothe-pit 1 points 2y ago
I’ll raise you no blackberries, have kiwis BUT no kiwi star fruit refresher 🤦🏽‍♀️
neeto 10 points 2y ago
We just got our manager to agree to let us use those for strawberries and dragonfruit, but only on weekends lol. We’re busy enough that we could easily do what’s happening here, but she thinks it looks tacky ;(
BoysLock 2 points 2y ago
I mean it does look tacky but aesthetics are the last thing on my mind when I have 12 refreshers stacked up on cold bar, soooo...
neeto 2 points 2y ago
Yeah we definitely need it lol. It’s better than having like 8 little things of berries getting in the way. Idk about y’all but we go through a mocha container of strawberries in like 3hrs it’s ridiculous.
brihea 6 points 2y ago
Former partner here. We tried that method at my one store (instead of the brown/clear inclusion containers) but due to all the moisture the strawberries/blackberries/dragon fruit turned into a giant berry clump. Plus it is harder to spoon (a serving) out of the large white containers than it is out of the inclusion containers (since the spoons aren't designed for those
goldfishmuncher [OP] 5 points 2y ago
thats so sad! where was your store? our berries dont really ever clump up like that
brihea 1 points 2y ago
I've worked at Starbucks in 2 different states.

We tried the white containers in Arizona (since they are larger than the brown ones).
emosweatshirt 1 points 2y ago
we use the white containers like in the photo at my store for our DT, and the smaller brown containers in the front, but the berries still clump up even in the smaller ones :( since were a really tiny store i think we’ve just gotten accustomed to all the clumping, and usually we throw away the fruits that aren’t good to use anymore.
coffeenb1 6 points 2y ago
Wow so satisfying 😍
feisty314 4 points 2y ago
If you have the market jars (round plastic jars with black lids) please know that you can get at least two bags of dragofruit in one jar, sometimes three! Blackberries I can also usually get two bags in. This helps reduce restocking a lot.
goldfishmuncher [OP] 2 points 2y ago
thank you! we don't have the round jars, but i'm okay with it because i easily fit like 5 or 6 bags of dragonfruit into one container :) for blackberries its usually 3
Rb2011xx 4 points 2y ago
Stonks
rivveeerrrrr 3 points 2y ago
Okay wait my store is also super high volume and we've never thought to do this?? Omg game changer???
goldfishmuncher [OP] 4 points 2y ago
it saves sooo much time! then after filling them all i can date and label them one after another it's so great
DeliveryWench 3 points 2y ago
This belongs in r/oddlysatisfying! Beautiful.
bottlehalffull 2 points 2y ago
Back before the Pandemic we (high volume mobile order cafe, in tourist town) had to do that with the frap chips and strawberries because otherwise our CS would have to refill those specific inclusions 20 times a shift. If your store doesn't do this when we get happy hours back you're doing yourself a great disservice. Fellow shifts: Even if you don't need to use the white containers all the time, use them when it makes more sense to help your bar and cs partners. When I suggested it after seeing it a couple years ago I could see actual tears of joy in my usual peak CS partner's eyes. Lol

stocking is my favorite part of the job 😭
That-Adhesiveness-26 1 points 2y ago
That much matcha just sitting there, waiting to be spilled or knocked over, makes me incredibly nervous... 😂🥲🙃😬
sorrysmithy 1 points 2y ago
my store used to use the big white containers for all these things but then we moved across the street for more space and they switched us to the clear round containers :( i miss the big ones😩
throwaway3456678 1 points 2y ago
um!!! why hasn’t my store thought of putting inclusions in the white containers!!! it’s so annoying to have to make new inclusions during peak all the time
lobster56757 1 points 2y ago
this looks so nice holy shit
rio8envy7 1 points 2y ago
This is really smart.
AUserNameThatsTaken1 1 points 2y ago
Do you ever get understocked on anything?
goldfishmuncher [OP] 2 points 2y ago
constantly, our store owner isnt really good at ordering stuff, we're always shorted on whole milk and coconut milk, strawberries, and white mocha😢
gaileypoo 1 points 2y ago
that is so satisfying 🤤
