“Only I have a family and kids guys, I can never close. Not allowed or else the wife will be mad. The rest of you close, and also open”
juju483 6 points 2y ago
Godddd yes
Awkward-Tower9422 3 points 2y ago
I guess That’s why 75 percent of our store were high schoolers.
Levinem717 2 points 2y ago
They simply don’t know any better :(
DreyaNova 83 points 2y ago
It’s neat because Starbucks’ hierarchy system functions entirely like a cult!

I should write a paper about this... I will write a paper about this.
is_it_soy 44 points 2y ago
You **MUST** write a paper about this.
RexFlex420 34 points 2y ago
And you must SHARE a paper about this

different_as_can_be 78 points 2y ago
“except i’m going to schedule myself for coverage and show up for 30 minutes then leave to get my hair done” or “sorry i’m just not gonna come in for a week and cancel all meetings and never reschedule or show up, good luck”
medicinexx 3 points 2y ago
“you guys don’t need me today right? i think i’ll just stay home today” actual thing my sm has said before
different_as_can_be 3 points 2y ago
oh i couldn’t tell you how many times we’ve heard that. AND if she decides to show up when we’re slammed and dying, all she does is wipe and clean the little things. not actually be helpful.
StomachGullible 4 points 2y ago
You SM is actually supposed to help the team and not just do stressful passive-aggressive check-ins and then ignore you for the rest of the shift to hop on meetings and chat with the DM?
bryceofswadia 17 points 2y ago
My current SM is actually pretty good. She def has some shortcomings but she’s there pretty much every day, occasionally for more than 12 hours if needed. She’s also usually pretty good at getting us coverage.

I’m really not excited for when I have to move when I go to college.

I expresses interest to my shift supervisor about becoming a shift and he wants to help develop me because he wants to be an ASM and a big part of what I want to be like when I am a shift is someone who is more proactive than just a “boss”.
hufflepuffisonfleek 6 points 2y ago
Exactly, I became a shift because my SM wasn’t the greatest and I wanted to counteract that by being a good leader. I’m not at that store anymore, but my current SM is better (still has flaws) but is going to help me work towards being an ASM. Definitely excited to mentor some new shift supervisors!

One tip! Western memes (or comics) always go from left to right, cause it's the way we read. But I feel you.. Sucks to have a manager like this.
Mr_SCPF 5 points 2y ago
Can I have the blank template, please?

Store Manager bonuses have nothing to do with customer connection.
ratmjoe 4 points 2y ago
Store Managers do no bonus off customer connection scores.
Scox5668 3 points 2y ago
Bro I’m so happy I left. Did anyone else have experience with management giving you less than 18 hours a week making the benefits useless? Our manager also had someone sick working and she was literally sick, they did not take her temperature or send her home, which was one of the reasons why I quit. So much for ‘we take covid seriously’
VrginMobile 3 points 2y ago
I started working in december and since then I've had 2 managers and 3 temp managers. To make it even better no time off or availability changes till we get a new manager. Even though some people have been trying to change their availability for a while. Just a mess really.
Awkward-Tower9422 1 points 2y ago
This. This is why I quit
ScalieDraggy 1 points 2y ago
District and store managers be like:
littleshanns 0 points 2y ago
Do they really get a bonus if we have high customer connections? Ours is always at 47-50 😅
depressoroast 3 points 2y ago
No, we don’t. Which is why it’s so silly the company is pushing it so hard
