p sure i have food poisoning but now that ive stopped vomiting i really just want a coffee if i go thru the drivethru near my house not the one i work at and use my markout will manager like see it somehwere and get mad at me for not going to work but still using free drink/food i want a butter croissant too idrk how it works or if the store tracks when/where u use markout

To be honest if you were vomiting you probably shouldn't be getting coffee... You need to rehydrate and coffee is going to just dehydrate you further.

Yes your SM and DM can see that. You aren't allowed to get markouts on days that you call off/while you quarantine. That's a fireable offense.

Wait, i was told that we get 1 free drink and 1 free food item on days we dont work. Is it different with calling out? I called out a month ago because my cat died and I used my markout because coffee is therapy

That’s probably slightly different than calling out sick.
If you’re sick, there’s a chance you’re contagious. You’re staying home to 1. Feel better and 2. Not spread anything. By going in and getting a mark out, you risk spreading your germs.

Yea I'd say that's a grey area/exception to the rule, but technically still not allowed. It's days you don't work/aren't scheduled, not days you were supposed to work and called off.

Tbh you’ll be fine. Chances are your SM can’t afford to lose baristas right now, given how hard it is to find workers these days. And your DM has better things to do than micromanage people’s sick days and food/beverage markouts.

thank you this is what i told myself last night, my sm is 6/7 months pregnant w atleast 3 people quitting, 4 going to away to college in the fall, a complete store renevation in june and struggling to hire people bc all the people applying are looking for like summer jobs i started a month ago and we just got one more new person so i dont think theyd be looking at that really they have better things to do like interviews hahah and even if they do see it i dont think theyd fire me they might say something like hey thats not okay and ill just be like my bad i didnt know bc i didnt and everything will be fine :)

Yes. If you're isolating, even if you're feeling better, you are not allowed on any starbucks property.

Good to know. I've seen other partners come in during the last few days of their isolation so it was a shock to hear it was fireable!
