Invest in a good pair of Doc Martens. They’re non slip and clean off easily.

i second this, i’ve gotten to the point that i’m miserable if i wear anything other than my docs to work, and they match everything! i would potentially recommend getting steel tipped ones because the fronts of mine get really scuffed all the time. also for breaking them in i recommend “silicone socks” to prevent blisters! welcome to the bux :)

I got some cheap nonslip boots from Walmart and I’ve had them since my last fast paced food job and they have held up great I would recommend insoles tho because back pain

This! My pair of cheap Walmart work boots has been a life saver. My store has the habit of getting flooded by the cafe bar and drive thru area. Everyone else was standing in wet shoes all day, but my feet were completely dry. Best $20 I ever spent.

I bought a pair of work boots for starbucks lol. Something non-slip and super solid. No fabric or something liquids can get through, even if it isn’t hot, you don’t want wet feet. They WILL get absolutely filthy.

Hello, green bean! Welcome to the Sbux fam! :)
It depends on the store, on the first day you come in (it's ok if you just wear normal sport shoes or sth comfortable), check out what others are wearing. In my store e.g. everyone wears sport shoes (not even black, sometimes other colors). I myself even wear black Vans with suede leather instead of the real leather.
The leather "recommendation" is just so that you protect your shoes from hot spills etc., it's just some sort of PPE. But entire canvas shouldn't be worn (like the classic Vans).
Good luck!

puma and adidas make my most comfy shoes! i always wear puma creepers bc they’re mad sturdy and the thick heel doesn’t really slip, plus they’re just my most comfortable shoes of all time for some reason.

you will not regret getting doc martens! they are easy to wipe off all the gunk from working so you can wear them out in life too!

i love my slip on shoes for crews. make sure you get good insoles if needed because your feet will be screaming without them haha

shoes for crews makes great nonslip sneaker style shoes, with a ton of arch support too so my feet dont kill me at the end of a shift
