Out of all the things you could be out of, this literally is the worst and most annoying. The whole district has a shortage. At least when out of oat milk people can get replacements. You really can’t replace caramel drizzle(we were out of dark caramel because we offered that instead and wiped us out of that too). It’s also funny customers don’t know that vanilla is the flavor syrup in the drink, not caramel. A lady came back with her drink angry and claimed we sabotaged her drink by putting vanilla not caramel. Ok done with my Tall rant.

Our store is out of all the replacement milks. Almond, soy, oat and coco. Food too. We only have sausage egg and cheese. No we don’t have your double bacon

What I dont understand is why we dont just go buy caramel sauce from the local store. Its caramel, just buy the one with caramel and 0 other ingredients and then its safe for everyone. We could make like 20 caramel macchiatos minimum with a bottle of smuckers lol. Sounds goofy but when they are your biggest seller after white mochas, I don’t understand the business logic.

It's cause it's a standard issue. It would alter the Starbucks Official Taste™ and then someone might expect it to taste the same somewhere else. it's also a cost thing. Think of how much caramel drizzle we'd have to buy to keep in stock, at full price from the store. Probably not an even trade since they surely get their caramel at a steep ass discount

We sell at like 1000% markup we can afford to lose some profit lol. And standards sure but they could just allow certain brands temporarily idk.

Starbucks caramel sauce taste very different from other caramel sauces – I know, I’ve tried several them. I sure wish the bottles would come back so I could have it at home again. I really miss it.

That's why I never offer dark caramel as a replacement. Our safest bets in my store so far is offering caramel syrup for a caramel taste or mocha drizzle.

I bought a starbucks caramel macchiato in a Safeway, they said they out of caramel drizzle sauce, so I went to the coffee isle and got the torani caramel sauce, bought it, then walked back over and waited for my drinks. Then I open the bottle right there and squirted it in there 🤣🤣
