Another day at the bux. Im covering a closing shift. I Walk into craziness, the store is out of stock on a good amount of items And a lot needs to be stocked. Everything is “okay”until 4. We only have 5 people at this time with a drive thru line wrapped around into the street and its non stop. When I say non stop its like another 8am peak. So many mobile orders of multiple drinks/food. Then on top of this we had someone legit order 16 drinks in the cafe. Do you know how bad that screws us when we only have 5 people working?? Andn only two of them are making drinks! We just simply did not have enough people. Like 17 people were already in the cafe and then the customers behind this guy taking 10 minute to order his 16 drinks (not just an iced coffe drinks but all sophisticated modifications) were all getting pissed. Told us that this is ridiculous for the wait. Meanwhile the guy before legit ordered 6 fraps. Like Are we some sort of like upper class mcdonalds/711 to the world. Honestly i love the customers that just get a latte or something.

I honestly think 10+ drink orders should be a call in only 30 minute in advance + gratuity for making other customers wait. I feel bad making people wait all because of 1 large order

We have someone walk in to order 30+ drinks and 30+ food items. I always wish they'd call in so we could maybe turn off mobiles, but I guess our DM doesn't want that.

Sorry sir, I'm drowning in orders here, do you mind if I just stick my head in the blender or do you want me to become an octopus, because I'm guessing it's the latter.

Unfortunately for many drive through stores; managers refuse to close cafe unless it is absolutely necessary.
Our DM likely wouldn’t allow us to 1) deny an order or 2) close our lobby for anything but the end of days

I’m trying my damn hardest to just say to myself “it’s just coffee” during days like these. If someone orders 15 drinks I would tell them “ok, but you’re gonna have to wait a while”. What a rough day, I hope you can get rest from it.

This was us this morning due to call offs, it was rough. Some guy threw such a tantrum over the wait, despite us refunding him and me literally trying to hand him his drink, and he just left without even getting anything.
