Delegate your ass off. If they don’t listen, make them listen by getting stern if you have to. You don’t have to be a shift lead in order to get on lazy baristas asses. I did it all the time before I got promoted. Now I just get paid to do it a little more lmao. But yes, I feel you, I felt that way sometimes before as well.

I feel this way but about the SSVs lol
Other SSV: “I’m the hardest working person here. Nobody works harder than me. Everyone here has no idea what they are doing and it stresses me out”
Also the other SSV: *vanishes during peak and frequently makes huge mistakes with SSV work*

Girrrlll. #mood. Gonna be real with you though. Every job you take, there’s gonna be some kind of drama or boss/employee you can’t handle. Starbucks has taught me how to talk and communicate the right way with people. I’d rather be dealing with Starbucks workplace then any other workplace drama. BUT if you have a better opportunity, take it!! The reason why I’m still a Starbucks barista is because the insurance benefits for my family. Cheapest ever.

Talk to your shift! If that doesn’t help talk to your manager. If that doesn’t help you can talk to district manager or depending where you’re located I can give you the info of the head of partner resources.

Yup I love it when I'm on bar and setting everything up for the evening shifts while the other employees are leaning against counters chatting.

You shouldn’t feel like your struggling if your manager, SSV’s and others do their job properly, but it is possible you need extra hours at night which can be discussed with partner resources if your managers don’t step up

Yeah it's exhausting. I'm just a bit ahead in procedures of thing of the new group from dec while the others know more about drinks so i always tell them how to do some things. I also feel the struggle of closing with few people but i say talk to your manager about the situation and maybe try to work less days if youcan and focus on yourself for a bit to make a better decision since you know your situation and needs best.
