I have a Karen named Tamara. She orders like 4 extra hot nonfat no foam chai teas and always finds a way to complain about the baristas or the milk ratio 😀

LMAO we have a regular named Karen and she is one of the sweetest customers we have actually. she always gets a grande caramel macchiato with 2 pumps of mocha and pays with a $20 and leaves the rest for tip. working at a licensed store that only staffs like 2-3 people in the morning, it always makes our day when she comes. she even once brought us a whole dozen of her homemade cookies from her catering business and they were absolutely scrumptious

it’s a bit of a long story, but under the Market Street rules (parent company Albertson’s) we get to keep the tip jar as long as we declare our tips every week before 11:59 AM each Sunday (obviously no one did that.)
So now the last resort is to make us declare tips as we clock out on the machine :)

Ah, ok. I work at a Meijer store in IL. We have to decline tips and if a customer insists on giving one we have to put it in the register for the store to keep. One of the many reasons it’s my last week :)
