hiiii it was my first day today!! just curious, are you able to get a protein box as your free food item???

ALSO my back hurts ((obviously will just need to get used to the job)), what can I do to help relieve some pain for the rest of the week ((during work hours))?

Congratulations on your first day! You are able to mark out protein box’s and paninis!

As for relieving pain I’ve switched from regular flat shoes to shoes with more of a bounce inside and that has definitely helped.

If you have any other questions feel free to message me!! I am a barista trainer at my store ☺️

Hi, I have a question! I was hired early April but was told to wait for my first sip and that I would start the first week of May. Yet the last time I spoke to a manager was April 16. Should I call again? If yes, afterwards what should I expect

I would definitely call and follow up or even drop by, usually after peak, between 11am-2pm or so, to catch them. Monday’s and Friday’s probably best. You should have gotten a start date, did you get confirmation that your background check came through?

Yes, I called a week after I submitted background check, two days later received the offer email and the start date was set to April 17. And that was the last I heard from the manager

Thank you so much!!!! Definitely planning on getting shoes with my first paycheck 🙂

We get discounts through perks at work with some shoe people. (Adidas, sketchers, and shoes for crews I believe) ask about how to access perks at work. I think shoes for crews are great, usually have good insoles for support.

Hi, green bean here! as said, protein boxes count!

Don’t forget that you get a free food mark out and beverage mark out even when you aren’t working all the way through june as a COVID special thing starbucks is doing. I was really nervous about doing this but you literally just go through a drive thru/to a counter on your day off, order what you want, and tell them you have numbers!

As for the back thing, i’ve totally noticed it too. I’ve switched from vans to doc marten boots and noticed a BIG difference. I think it sounds weird, but something with a slight heel really helped me personally.

Any of the RTD+E items count as food markout. Paninis, protein boxes, string cheese, yogurt, evolution fresh juices, etc etc. Impulse items such as madeleines, chocolate-covered things, or granola bars do NOT count, which always makes me angrysad. I just want chocolate almonds.

I often wear a corset at work to help with my lower back pain and enforce better posture, just a $10 plastic-boned one from Amazon. It prevents some of the hunching/twisting motions that injure me and force me to do more hinging/turning/crouching motions that protect my back and knees. If corsets aren't for you, basically just try stretching on breaks or when you finish work. A yoga pose called Legs Up The Wall is massively good for easing back and leg pain after a long day, and it chills out your brain too.

Definitely bite the bullet and get some ugly comfortable non slips lol I refused for so long because I didn’t like them but the moment I did my body felt sooooooo much better. I also recommend foot cushions (I don’t know what they’re called but the things you insert in LOL)

I really like my Sperry’s, especially when I’m in one spot my whole shift.
