I had so much fun today at my new store, it was like, finally, this is what it is *supposed* to feel like! That was what training was supposed to be!
We had fun, we were all working as team players, we were getting our job done and I actually learned *so much*, and I actually did so much...
I had such a fun, productive day I didn’t really want to leave, today. Wow!
For barista’s who are struggling, being transferred to a good store with good trainers and a good team and a positive environment where you can grow IS POSSIBLE! Don’t give up!

That's so fantastic!!! I'm really happy you've found somewhere you belong. Did you visit the store beforehand or something to know it was a good environment? I'm probably transferring soon too and I want to make sure I get to a good store

Well. I went there instead of my store for my partner drinks because I didn’t want to go to my former store at all. I was coming to the new store and I made friends with baristas there and put in an app for that store in past, when I was a customer...but got hired by the former store...super quickly...then things started going very wrong and I slowly breached the topic to transfer...and then learned they needed coverage at the original store I wanted.
If I go to that store as a customer, and I like the energy there, and it looks like a work environment that is healthy—I’ll apply there.
As somebody who had already been working at Starbucks for almost 5 months and I walked into the new store and better understood the dynamic of how people were working together, should be working together, and how much space there was at the store? I still wanted that new store.
However, my former SM wasn’t going let me go once I expressed the desire to transfer. The only other thing I could do is get speak to my DM to start the transfer...but this was a situation that had gotten so bad where PRSC had to be involved.
Basically, my DM was cool, she plucked me out of there, thank goodness. That was the only way I was going to get out. 🙏🏼

I'm so envious! My sm won't let me transfer :// even tho the environment is super toxic. But I'll only be there for like 3 more months before I transfer for an actual moving away reason.

Get in touch with your DM in the mean time. I could not have done this without PRSC helping me talk to/get in touch with my DM to get out of there.
