Hello there I’m relatively new to being a barista and I have been getting myself a drink at the beginning of my shift to sip on while I work. I usually get a venti iced chai with oat milk (or almond if we’re out of oat) with brown sugar syrup. Its delicious, but sooo much sugar :/
I’ve been getting a trenta iced green tea lemonade most shifts to cut out a lot of the calories and sugar but it gets boring sometimes. I’m looking for new healthy drink ideas!
What are your favorite healthy (or healthier) Starbucks drinks?

cold brew, 100%. it’s so easy to customize in so many different ways without going crazy on the sugar or calories, and it packs a punch with the caffeine so you stay energized for your whole shift. some of my favorite cold brew recipes (i usually do a grande):
-toffee nut (1/2/3 pumps) and a splash of oat milk
-brown sugar syrup (2/4/6 half dose pumps) and a tiiiiny splash of sweet cream
-vanilla syrup (1/2/3 pumps), a blonde shot, and a small splash of sweet cream
-1 pump white mocha, 1 pump toffee nut, and almond or oat milk

I wish we had blonde espresso at my store :( I’m a licensed store and we only have dark roast espresso. These sound great though! Thank you for your reply!

FLAT WHITES

I’ve never had a flat white tbh! Do they work well with almond milk? I’m fairly lactose intolerant and the whole milk may be too much for me

I think so! I’d recommend doing 4-5 shots in a venti because the espresso flavor gets lost in alternative milks. My go-to is a iced flat white 5 shots with caramel drizzle and oatmilk

grande cold brew with 3-4 pumps of sugar-free cinnamon dolce and a splash of cream! Simple but hits the spot 😌

I really like the berry hibiscus with half water and half passion tea and no berries, thats been my go to lately. I also do a green iced tea, pineapple ginger syrup with half lemonade half water with two scoops of matcha! Yum!

Oh those sound delicious! Thank you!

I love iced americanos especially once it gets hot outside. If I’m going really healthy I do SF Vanilla, with a few shakes of vanilla powder or SF Cinnamon Dolce with a few shakes cinnamon. Otherwise just whatever syrups really

Yeah I’ve been trying to find ways to take advantage of the sugar free syrups so I can cut down on sugar. Thanks for your input!

Water
Edited to add-partly teasing, but also I almost always only get water while at work, it’s the easiest to grab.
luckysilverdragon [OP]2 points2y ago
Yeah water is pretty great LOL I should probably drink more of it in trutht

I’ve played around with adding a few pumps of raspberry to my water to make it a little more fun to drink. Also, lately, my store has been having issues with our water having to be tap water and not the filtered, so then I tend to just get a lemonade because I don’t like wasting my 10 getting a drink lol.
luckysilverdragon [OP]1 points2y ago
I heard the raspberry water is fun but I think most syrups are about 5g sugar a pump or smth like that so I can’t do it too often if I like it, but all that water is a good thing for sure.
My go-to drink rn is the green tea lemonade with no sweetener or anything so i get the lemonade bit. I like getting the antioxidants and what not from the green tea though

Yeah I basically live on sugar, so it’s never been my concern, probably should be, but that’s a whole different convo. When I first started about a year ago, I would get strawberry refreshers just about everyday, but then I started getting bad reflux, so I stopped those. The green tea and lemonade sounds good, I like black tea and lemonade, but definitely get it getting old doing that everyday.
