Any help appreciated! (self.starbucksbaristas)

So I’ve been at Starbucks since January and there are some things I still can’t remember how to do from training bc I rarely have to do them, like making cold brew and transferring them to the kegs (what’s the process for the ice/water situation), just to name a few. If anyone could give me some tips or instructions for these and anything similar that would be great. I’m gonna write it all in a mini notebook to keep in my apron :) thanks

Making cold brew is just one bag of cold brew beans ground on the French press settings, grind it into the filter in the toddy, and then you put 7L of water inside the filter, tie it, 7L outside and let sit for 20 hours. As for when you transfer it, you pour it into the little cubes used for iced coffee up to where the handles are (at least at my store) and then after you pour that into the keg you put the same amount of water in the cube as you did cold brew, mix in 2L of ice and pour it into the keg. If you need any more help
Lmk! I’ve only been at Starbucks since early February so I’ll try my best to answer, I only have the cold brew process memorized bc I do it almost every morning LOL

This is the recipe for the larger colb brew bags, make sure you have the right amount of coffee for this recipe! I think the bags are either 5lb or 3lb

I did not know there were two sizes 😅

If I remember right, its 4.5L of water in the bag and 4.5L outside for the smaller 3lb bags:)

Makes sense since it’s about half the size, that sounds about right

Thanks, I’m pretty good on everything else, I basically do whips and sweet cream every day so I need a refresher on cold brew for sure!

It’s super easy once you get the hang of it, it’s just a little time consuming
