My best advice is be ready for foot pain and extra dry hands for a bit. I recommended Curel ultra healing lotion! Don’t be afraid to ask questions, you’ll have a ton. And for the love of God don’t be like me and just guess on recipes, if you don’t know please ask because I’ve made questionable decisions that were very wrong on what went in a drink and in the end you’ll waste more time remaking it lol

Congrats! :) Everyone is willing to help you out so don't be afraid to ask questions to your partners! We have all been there being overwhelmed as a new hire, so it might be intimidating — but everyone is there to help you out!
On a side note, make sure to study the recipes as much as possible, it'll pay off a lot. After a week or so of studying and practicing, it'll become muscle memory.

Oh my gosh I'm 16 as well!! I was hired in January and while there have been alot of ups and downs, I can now say I love this job. I struggle with an anxiety disorder and my biggest advice here is to never be hard on yourself for messing up. Your gonna make drinks wrong, you'll take a long time finding things on the register while the customer just stares, you'll drop a whole pitcher of sweet cream/cold brew/lemonade/whatever, YOUR GONNA MESS UP BUT ITS OKAY!!!! Trust me!!! And it might be stressful but for real, with the free drinks, coffee markout, spotify, bragging rights of working at Starbucks, and the overall experience of a first job makes it worth it. Not much else to say other than be kind to yourself, don't rush everything in the beginning, and you'll be fine. It seems like alot to learn and it can be overwhelming, but just remember your new and your not expected to know anything for atleast a few months.
It's also nice to know that I'm not the only 16 year old barista here 😊 you got this!!!! If I can do it, so can you ☺️☺️

First week is training so you should be fine just pay attention to your trainer. After you will have to rely on support from your team, but usually everyone is super supportive.

No one expects you to be perfect from the get go. Don’t panic and let people help you (and don’t be afraid to ask for help if you need it).

Be humble, listen, and learn. You can figure out what was BS later.
