i'm thinking about it bc in a deescalation meeting rn. I think they touch on it in the self paced training for everyone but for SSVs and SMs we have actual meetings and discussions for it

Yeah I’m just a barista but the only thing I can remember in the way of conflict resolution was that one armed robbery training that was like “FIGHT. FIGHT FOR YOU LIFE.” or whatever. Good to know SSVs are getting some though

no yeah I got that (and I fully agree). my point was that “Starbucks training” does not get credit for the fact that we are good at deescalating, it’s just the fact that we’re often held accountable for our actions and to an extremely high degree professionalism of and cops are not
