Any and all acrylic/gel and painted (even clear coated) nails are out of code. They can be long (within reason) as long as they’re the natural nail.

for food safety reasons, anything other than your natural nails is not allowed. I was upset when I realized I couldn’t have acrylics any longer, but the idea of how disgusted i’d be if someone else’s nail chipped into my drink really helped me gain some perspective.
I think long nails are okay if they’re natural and aren’t absurdly long. You have to pay special attention to washing your hands and nails when they’re longer, but I don’t think there’s specific rules on natural nail length.

It's pretty out of code to have anything done to your nails, even regular nail polish :( I'm sorry but you also absolutely do not want to be working in food with long nails, it's not worth it (the risk of them getting damaged and broken off, possibly even into food/drink is very high) if you're not willing to keep the nails natural you shouldn't even be looking for work in food service

Nail polish, acrylics, and gel/dips are against health code - if you have them done, and your store is audited either by Ecolab/QASA or the health inspector, you will cause your store a huge critical point and your SM will be extremely angry.
Your natural nails are also not allowed to be super long, as dirt and bacteria collects under the nail.
Definitely if you can't handle not having your nails done or having them long, you shouldn't be working in food service.

Just a heads up, this job is not really a job you can do with long nails. You can’t paint any nail hardener or protecting coat onto your nails.
Your hands are gonna be in sanitizer or cleaning products a lot. Or in gloves which are also bad for nails. The cleaning products definitely took a toll on my nails and they are definitely weaker.
Then you count all the things you’re gonna have to do and you’re definitely gonna break a nail, the longer they are the more likely they are to break.

get a peel off base coat and paint your nails on your days off. it's super easy to pop off the peelies, and it still allows you to have a little fun with your nails, even if you can't have them on constantly like you used to. i love the peel off base by holo taco, i find it stays on rlly well for normal wear but it also isn't a hassle to take off before work

Fake nails are almost always restricted by health code because of the risk of them breaking off and falling into someone's food. Long natural nails are ok, so long as they're not so long that it makes it hard for you to do your job.
