I opened today as the only barista with a shift (closer) who had not opened in over eight months. we ran a four-person play from 7:30am-11:30am. No SM within 50 miles in the district would answer to turn off mobile ordering (we already closed the cafe by 7:15am and were running drive-thru only), so we had to call our DM and have me sobbing in the background while the shift was on the phone to get her to. hate weekend shifts with every bean in the hopper

I opened today, SSV.. I live in a county that still has indoor dining, while several counties around us have gone back to extreme risk. I opened today and by 7am had a mentally disturbed homeless woman harassing me. I didn't have time to deal with it today, so I let her keep talking until she finally fell asleep at the table. Why call police if they don't even come?

I also had 2 separate men waddle in and threaten to crap in their own pants if I didn't give the door code for the restroom (ours are closed because the next building has one and too many homeless bathe and leave *messes*) .

If your county is closed don't fucking come to ours with your no mask poopy pants attitude. You're the reason it's closed.

Also im so glad I left the busiest DT right before covid because I would not have tolerated anything, coming from a 18 number.. bless your souls.

We had a lady use one of our bathrooms (the other is out of order because the handle comes off and traps people) and unrolled an entire roll of toilet paper, and wiped SHIT all over the paper dispenser and the new wrapped roll of toilet paper. We were running a 5 person play and the manager stepping off the floor to clean all that up was gone juuuust long enough for an unmasked group of 6 to walk in, followed by two groups of 2 because our buildings at a stoplight.
