I still don’t understand why they outside hire shifts when it takes 6 months to just learn to be proficient at the job before you can even think about working up to ssv. I would just step down and change your availability to mornings so you can practice with experienced partners.

Today was my first day and I thought it’d be ez pz since I worked fast food before but holy cow there’s so much to learn! So many drinks! So many customizations! I thought they were kidding when they said it’s take 6 months to learn.

No it takes longer for many. And many do not have the memory for all the drinks. Thats why if you get good at your job if its a store with high turnover, its easy to ask for a small or sometimes even decent sized raise.

Any tips on learning the drinks or does it just take time? The register is easy but it’s hard when a customer gives a complicated order and I don’t know the difference between drinks.

You just need practice and tell your supervisors you want bar practice
