What do you do when you run out of dry rags? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by PristineQueen14
I was like instructed to take the dirty rags, run them through the dishwasher, and hang them to dry. Thoughts?

Yeah, let's what we do. I usually spray them out a little bit in the middle sink and then go through the dishywashy.

I take 2-3 towels, spray then out in middle sink with hot hot water and wring out the yuck, then spread them out flat on the sani machine tray with the spike things, spray the shit out of them with bleach, run them through once then flip them over and run it through again.

But what you really should do is find a really, really good hiding spot to stash like 6-10 clean ones when they come in so that you don't have to worry about this. (Plus technically it's a health violation to use dirty towels, even if you douse them in bleach and run em thru the sani machine).

My hiding spot was in the bottom of our tool box, under the tray that can be lifted out. No one ever opened that thing at my store lol.

Also for big messes, especially wet ones like when someone leaves the tap going and the whole counter is covered with cold brew, use the dirty towels to soak up/clean up the majority of the mess, then clean the area with a fresh sani towel. That way you don't waste 20 clean towels.

Have your SSV/ASM/SM call Cintas. The phone number is the front of the DRB. If there is no other way I just wring out the nicest ones and run them through the Hobart a couple times.
