Anyone got any? It can be about drinks, the company, the work, etc.
I’ll say it - The new strawberry funnelcake frappe truly isn’t that bad😳
bottlehalffull59 points2y ago
Tik toks drinks aren't that complicated. I'd rather make a drink with 20 mods for an excited polite teenager than an iced chai for a raging Karen. Talking to customers is fun most of the time and makes the job feel less like fast food. I have more but this is already going to get down voted to hell.
sailorgrumpycat16 points2y ago
Nah, thats not that unpopular. From what I've seen here, the sentiment is usually like 60/40 maybe 70/30 towards this opinion. You got a recipe, I'll make it, idc how complicated it is or wtf you call it, i like a challenge.
catcatgobyebye14 points2y ago
Personally have an issue with tiktok drinks bc we are licensed and a university, we hand write the cups still and when 2pm hits and students can use their student IDs so suddenly there is 40-50 people in line for two hours straight and i have to write an essay on a cup that takes five minutes to make im gonna have a problem.
astivana10 points2y ago
You get excited polite teenagers ordering your TikTok drinks?
throwaway34566786 points2y ago
I get more polite teenagers who tip than adults who are driving $100,000 cars and don’t tip
bottlehalffull4 points2y ago
We are directly across from a high school & I can honestly say they are all so nice! We've never had an issue with any of them.
radical-monster1 points2y ago
Teenagers are polite???
CeramicLicker6 points2y ago
I don’t mind tik tok drinks I can actually punch in on the system, but ones requiring crazy long “ask me”s are awful. They all do good things for store metrics at least. I’m sure they drive up the average drink price since they all have $2 of modifications
TJW35149 points2y ago
Mine is that I actually enjoy working at Starbucks lol
marilynmansonsbitch13 points2y ago
same i unironically love my job

May not be super unpopular, but I think the vanilla sweet cream is absolutely disgusting. From the making process to the foam I just 🤢there just something about it that really bothers me
sammiipiie5 points2y ago
Omg same
raychelelaina4 points2y ago
I don’t know where we got this recipe (Tarbucks), but when VSC started to become very popular we began using this recipe to make a 2L pitcher of VSC: using the cold foam blender pitcher, pour vanilla syrup to 300ml and 2% to 900. Pour it in a 2L pitcher. Then empty a whole carton of heavy cream into the pitcher. So, we’ve stopped measuring the vanilla in pumps, and I’ve truly lost all concept of how much it really is as a result.
givemeapples3 points2y ago
The correct recipe is 1L of heavy cream, 350ml of vanilla syrup (measured in cold foam blender), and then 650ml of 2% (or just fill it to the top). Your VSCCF may end up being a little too runny with that extra 2%
SBUXPartner2122 points2y ago
It sounds like they are doing 300ml Vanilla and 600ml 2% but just adding it all to the same foam blender pitcher so it may be a little more thick actually
givemeapples3 points2y ago
Ahhhh I think you're right, I completely misunderstood 😅 tbh it's better when it's thicker! One of my shift leads will straight up omit the 2% and do straight heavy cream..... I disapprove but I can't lie, the foam is exquisite when it's made with the extra heavy cream
juliecavalcante4 points2y ago
it was like my second day when i started making them and my jaw just dropped when i saw the amount of vanilla pumps needed
ventisizedstress4 points2y ago
RIGHT. That and the heavy cream🤢 I just can’t it’s to much
Kindly-Wear-629031 points2y ago
Drink modifications wouldn’t be so bad if the stickers made sense, but it keeps the store in the media so they’ll never print in any kind of actual order.
AceyFluff9 points2y ago
Right? Like I’ll make any drink you want if I know how to, and it has a recipe, but create an ask me for crushed dragon berries and I’ll cry.
MochiMasu16 points2y ago
I rather make frappucinos then shake anything in the shaker. (I still shake all teas refreshers etc but man do I find it annoying)
Madclaire0224 points2y ago
I HATE SHAKING DRINKS. It is so annoying and it just disrupts my flow

Edward’s drink wasn’t that crazy 🏃🏽♀️💨
tinysleepycryptid3 points2y ago
I've seen way worse on this sub and r/starbucks
raychelelaina2 points2y ago
I think I’m out of the loop and I would like to know 👀
Paperclipwater2 points2y ago
Someone named Edward had his drink go viral on Twitter because he had a lot of add-ons and customizations. I don’t know how to link on Reddit, but if you just type in Edward Starbucks drink I think I’ll pop up.
Throwawaysnore12 points2y ago
I actually like it, everyone else hates it
thelastlemonloaf8 points2y ago
The star drink tastes like sour gummies and im living for it (also has anyone tried the dc sweet potato cupcake? I live in the suburbs right outside and whenever the store i work at has one going out my coworkers save it for me😂)
bjorksbutthole2 points2y ago
The first time I tried the star drink I hated it, but after the second and third time, I am obsessed w it now. it’s soo good
bbleinbach5 points2y ago
I guess my only one is that I enjoy taking the trash out. I enjoy the fresh air lol
LatterRooster5 points2y ago
Too bad we are always out of strawberry purée ... the only problem with all the mods is when you have a time crunch and your DM expects your store to stick to a certain dt time. half the time they don’t know what the drink is they just know what a picture looks like and how the tiktok has been explained—which is a problem if the drink is made different in the first place. I’ve also noticed that the regular drinks get neglected because the barista is looking ahead to the cold foam with cookie crumbles or the other mods... and then the mocha doesn’t get mixed , the cold brew gets made the same as the iced coffee, the cinnamon doesn’t get put in the shaker for the brown sugar oat milk drink and so on......
_Pulltab_5 points2y ago
The blueberry scones are underrated.
cafemasterpieces3 points2y ago
UM YES THANK YOU. I LOVE THEM
impasse6023 points2y ago
If your a barista its ok to like fraps! You dont need to be a coffee connoisseur
Madclaire0223 points2y ago
I wouldnt mind making tiktok/secret menu drinks if they put it in a way for me A. Ring it up. And B. Make it. Seriously everytime someone recites one of those stupid drinks its like, order a frappuccino thats made with a combination of heavy cream and lemonade to the bottom line, made with the finest grains of vanilla with a splash of strawberry puree with a combination of the freshest fruits blended twice in an honorable fashion with a combination of the finest whip cream and about halfway poured put a mixture of drizzle made from white mocha, drizzle of caramel and matcha and fill the rest of the cup up. No whip cream on top but with a sweet foam made of vanilla cream with a scoop of chips made from chocolate on top. These drinks are super hard to decipher a lot of times. And if it was easier to hear these drinks normally then it would maybe be different. Except maybe this drink. I would never make this drink. I once was told one time to make that drizzle once for a customer. Never again. I havent seen that customer in a long time after i told them we couldnt do it.
tsukiko993 points2y ago
Omg I got to try the strawberry shortcake frapp and it was really yummy. Also I'm like the only one in my store that thought the funnel cake frapp was surprisingly good, but it's best made with sweet cream.
Vilali1 points2y ago
I made the funnel cake cream frapp the regular recipe, but with 1 or 2 extra pumps of the syrup, a little strawberry puree in the frap itself, and then a middle layer of the whip cream, puree, and topping. It makes it so much worse for you, but it's good.
trashkittenxoxo2 points2y ago
Deadshots aren't real. Starbucks invented the deadshot as a manipulation tactic to keep you barring faster. Nobody actually thinks Starbucks espresso is high quality. Espresso is by nature bitter. You're topping it with melted sugar anyway.
SKSM102 points2y ago
Making huge drink orders give me a slight adrenaline rush & I feel like a kid in a candy store
Bring on those 30 drink mobile Karen 🤟🏽😋
Cjuytsootgg2 points2y ago
I don’t think I’m underpaid 🤷🏻♀️
trashkittenxoxo1 points2y ago
you might not be, depending on where you live
ghiopeeef1 points2y ago
I was hyped for the strawberry funnel cake, but it’s pretty disappointing.

We do not need four different non-dairy alternatives to offer to customers. Get rid of the least popular (I would say soy).
dazedandconfusedhere19 points2y ago
Definitely unpopular - non dairy milks have different allergens associated with them & also textures and flavors work better with different drinks
throwaway34566789 points2y ago
Yeah, for sure. I had a shift with crazy allergies. He couldn’t drink Almond or Soy, reg dairy, or Oatmilk due to allergies so if we ran out of coconut he had limited options drink wise. And the least popular milk thing definitely varies from store to store. Literally nobody gets coconut milk at mine (unless it comes standard in a drink). Almond milk is actually more popular than oat and 2% put together. I’d be upset if we got rid of soy tbh it’s my fave
