We double checked many times to make sure this is what they ordered... (i.redd.it)

if you are in the south this sadly makes sense
julieCivil 1 points 2y ago
I was thinking more asian tropics. I'm from Georgia and Bamalama -- how does putting anything but sugar in your tea make sense?
sinisterbird420 8 points 2y ago
Peaches and cream are a thing! I don’t like their reasoning but I can see it
julieCivil 2 points 2y ago
good point.

Lots of places put milk in tea, milk tea is just a thing lol (just not super common in America, as southern states tend to prefer *heavy* sweetener.)
julieCivil 3 points 2y ago
I love milk tea, man, I absolutely love it but this concoction doesn't scream "southern united states" to me. Speaking as a southerner.
Torminatorii 1 points 2y ago
Oh definitely. I’ve never heard of a southerner putting milk in their tea tbh lol

The only thing wrong with this is green tea vs. black tea. Putting milk in black tea is common all over the world as it pairs well with the sweet notes of malt, chocolate, and vanilla commonly found in black teas and blends. Can't say the same for green and white teas.

One of my iced favorites is black tea + dolce syrup + creme, and for hot nothing beats a London Fog.

It's a keto drink

We get those here in Southern California, made with Sf vanilla though. Customers don't understand that the peach juice and milk have sugar though🤷‍♀️

We sold a Passion Tango tea that looked this white yesterday. Hurt my feelings because I love unsweetened PT tea and have never even thought to a dairy to iced tea
M_Night_Sammich 2 points 2y ago
I hate to tell you this.... but in my store people love to add heavy cream which instantly curdles in PT
hereironically 3 points 2y ago
This is super popular at my store. Along with passion tango being made with heavy cream and any of our refreshers too. (It’s weird imo)

a peach green tea with vanilla sweet cream foam is delicious, i hate that i love it
baristaJ297 1 points 2y ago
We get these daily..ew
Acceptable_Leather99 1 points 2y ago
i do this but with soy instead of heavy cream tbh and it tastes like peach ice cream
CobaltLemon 1 points 2y ago
It’s not unusual to me lol.
I get the peach tranquility with vanilla and cream.
bang_ended_scoots 1 points 2y ago
Okay but did you try it because at my store we get a lot of teas like this and sometimes they actually SLAP.

A thing that I’ve noticed recently is people are getting milk teas for “boba tea” copy cats since any Starbucks in the US obviously doesn’t have boba. We had a lady ask about boba yesterday, she said she found it online, come to find out it was in Japan 😑
draahstopter 1 points 2y ago
This is actually pretty good! I tried it once because I was like “this is disgusting and I’ll prove it” I did not prove it because it’s actually good lmao if you get a passion tea lemonade with half and half and raspberry syrup it tastes like an ice cream slush from sonic! 🙂
Torminatorii 1 points 2y ago
It’s a keto drink, but also putting milk in tea is really common? I’m a little confused why this one is weird tbh. I’ve made some pretty *funky* drinks but this one just made sense (and it tastes good)
mthrowaway311 3 points 2y ago
vanilla and peach juice arent keto 😅
Torminatorii 1 points 2y ago
Nope. But it is to customers lol
