Can I temporarily transfer stores? (self.starbucksbaristas)

It looks like I'm going to be chosen for a starbucks location where I live (Houston) and would probably be starting within the next week. However, my family has recently gotten word that my grandmother is not doing well everyone is planning on going home to California at the beginning of June to see her. Would I be able to ask the manager here if I could temporarily work at another location in california or would I have to quit and reapply there?

I’m pretty sure that’s not possible as each states has different hourly wages. As you are going across states, and the whole transfer process is a complicated process.

You can transfer stores but you can only transfer once in a six month period last time I checked.
As for a temp transfer I don’t know if they do that outside of districts.
I’d call partner resources to get a straight answer if it’s possible.
