A venti flat white with a single ristretto shot is what you should have made. Not a latte? Unless he specified a non ristretto shot. Kinda confused what is triggering you here. Is it rare in your country

In my country we use regular shots for a flat white and it is only served in a short or a tall. That's why.

The Netherlands. But most European countries (except for France) use regular shots in stead of ristretto.

Does it still have the cancel button? It'll stop your shot whenever you hit it so you could aim for half, not quite the same but close. Should be able to use the dial to press the X

It does, but cancel too many shots and it starts fucking with shot times and then you have to recalibrate. I try not to use it unless I almost accidentally give a decaf drink normal espresso. For the half shot people I just pull into the glass pitcher and dump about half in the cup
