Hair tinsel & dress code (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hey so I wanted to do the tinsel in hair sometime this summer, but I didn’t know if it complied with dress code. I read the page about hair, but can someone give me a good answer?

Do you mean those pieces of jewelry and locks and the ribbons and shiny thread in braids? I’ve seen people with these and nobody’s reprimanded them. You’ll still have to pull your hair back, though. I personally think the jewelry and the thread and the braids is so pretty.

I wasn’t planning on like braids or anything Bc my hair is super straight, but just tying the tinsel in at the root so there’s shiny throughout. But yea I get what you mean, I always put my hair up so that shoukd work

The only time I see it being a problem for straight hair textures is if it sheds. With locs or braids the tinsel and jewelry is secured like a clasp and it’s braided in so it can’t fall out.
As much as I would like to have this in my hair, too, my hair is also very long and fine, so unless I dreaded my hair or did braids that would be only time that I would feel like it would be secure enough to wear it at work. You can always ask your store manager for clarification!

tinsel is allowed as long as you don’t have any pieces falling out!
