I actually just went as a customer and a barista who was working DT told me to come in because they were hiring and a year prior I put in for a Starbucks in VA and GA. No dice. Then, I set up an interview. It was extremely easy. Honestly, I did online applications and I never really got any contact back from Starbucks, using that.
But don’t get down about this because store managers are extremely busy and they’re not blowing you off, intentionally, more than likely.
Just stop by to get a coffee when you think the SM will be there and just check in, no pressure.

Update! Ok so she responded and she scheduled an interview with me later this week, but she told me to look for a zoom link for the interview? There wasn’t a link provided in her response so I’m wondering if I have to be the one providing the Zoom link once the day comes or I wait for them to send me a link. I’ve never been interviewed through Zoom before so I don’t know what she meant by that. Ahh sorry to bother you about this again, I struggle with interpreting words sometimes..

It’s fine! Glad it’s resolved! Once the interview date gets closer they should send you an invite and a link.

Haha I work at a licensed store inside a grocery chain but I managed to land a job at the Starbucks even though there weren’t any openings haha. I worked as a cashier at this grocery store but put in my two weeks because I was preparing to work as a shift manager for a local coffee shop, but when our foodservice department caught wind of it they said wAiT wE hAvE a bEtTeR oFfEr and offered me a position at our Starbucks with the opportunity to level up to Assistant Manager after 3 months.
I started working in November.
Still waiting to level up…

I had just moved back to my home town and never had been to Starbucks. Had a bad day at work and Starbucks was right across the street so I went and the (then) baristas made my experience SO amazing and every time I went I always walked out feeling a bit better about my previous shitty job. Eventually put in an application and here I am!! Almost a year with the siren 💚
Now I walk out feeling shitty in general. But honest I love my job, my regulars, and my coworkers. It’s the shitty customers and tiktok that make me want to rip my hair out

My sister is a SSV at a different store and I took a break from my nursing home job when covid hit there (disabled dad, infant nephew, pregnant sister) so she told me to apply and I ended up liking it more than my $18 an hour job 🙃 lol

Call or go in. If they reached out, they’re interested. Good luck. ☺️

I had an in person interview. Granted this was about two months ago

I put an app in online whe I was mass applying to basically anything. My SM called me about three weeks later and said they were looking for a barista or two, we set up a phone interview and I had the job within about three days!

I put my app in online. But went in to meet the manager in person. (My store is open to order. But dining is not available)
