Tall frappy rant in a grande cup with extra whip :D (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hi so today I was casually managing DTO/DTR and warming like I usually do by myself for afternoon/closing shifts when this customer pulls up and asks for 2 gift cards- i tell her I'll help her at the window, and when she gets to the window i happily help her load a couple cards with $10 each, and as I'm doing that, I casually take the order of the people at the speaker while im looking through the card designs and loading them and once I finished loading the cards for her and as she's putting her card in the slot, she tells me I'm really good at multitasking and that I'm doing a great job and oh my god just that simple compliment made my entire fucking day- she asked to see my manager and I go to the back to summon my shift, telling her a customer wants to speak to her- lol she was like "o no what happened" and I was like "ahaha surprisingly it's not a bad thing this time"-- and when my shift was done talking to the customer she turns to me and says "the customer you just helped thinks you should ne promoted" and I jUST--- my freaking gods i'm so happy to hear that I'm doing okay after so long working at this job,,, I'm juat a lowly barista with minimal knowledge but hearing that from a customer really inspired me to work harder at my job πŸ₯ΊπŸ˜ hearing that after working full time hours for the past two weeks just was the highlight of it all, man. This is why I work for the siren, y'all πŸ₯°

My manager's face when a customer makes her get up from the back room just to tell her I'm doing a good job and deserve a raise: 😐😐😐

This has happened a few times, wish I could get a raise for real.
