I didn't say you were a *liar*, I'm generalising because I see this kind of post semi-frequently. It's usually coming from someone who is bitter about something, or someone who thinks they're starting drama.
Threads get locked when they're getting too much *negative* attention; it has nothing to do with what the OP is about unless the OP is hostile or contains personal information. For reference's sake, the team previously has agreed that arguments become hostile when they involve name-calling or ad hominems. Comments are considered antagonising when they are passive aggressive, condescending, or involve argumentative fallacies like whataboutism or personal attacks. And my experience doesn't vary, I'm the only active moderator on the front end of the main subreddit. I'm the one that does all of it.
I have no problem locking a thread regardless of how much traction it's getting. I locked it to clean up the two massive threads where people were being aggressive, and then OP messaged me about it, and I explained why then unlocked it. It was only ever locked for an hour, two hours at most.
And like I said, union posts stay up because they don't break rules. I have never actually removed an entire post for talking about unionising, or removed an entire comment thread for talking about unionising. Like I said, I
$1 That one is from 2 weeks ago, btw. Was never locked, was never removed.
Just out of curiosity, what posts have you seen that have been perma-locked that were also about unionising? If you think it's an issue, I would like to know which posts you're talking about in particular so I can reassess the way moderation is handled.
