Today at work was terrible it felt like every customer was complaining or was being really difficult. This lady came through our drive thru and gets a iced matcha green tea latte . I was at window and I handed it to her and she looked at the whole drink with disgust and says “I get this drink EVERY SINGLE DAY this is not right” . The reason why she said this is because there was a small amount of matcha powder at the bottom of the cup that had settled. No matter how much I shake matcha that always happens so I explain to her that the drink was shaken and the powder tends to settle sometimes and she was so rude and goes “I’m not drinking this”.So we remade it and she never said thank you or anything . People in drive thru were so rude today wow .

I think there are issues with the build of the iced matcha latte. You have to shake it way more than 10 times to get it to incorporate and then there's too much foam. I wish whoever sets our drink standards would revisit this.
It incorporates better in the foam blender but I know that's not standard at all.

Even though it isn’t standard, we started utilizing the cold foam blender for matcha specifically because we had so many of these types of complaints. Its significantly decreased the amount of times were yelled at over iced matcha lattes. Everything else no, but at least it’s one less thing lol

I add a size smaller scoop of ice and that tends to help, or I’ll use the lid to scoop it off!

A blender would have really helped the time I pulled a sticker specifying 11 scoops of a matcha. It was probably only the fifth or sixth drink I ever made us a Barista.

I put a small amount of hot water at the bottom of the cup and swirl it around first, helps to break up the powder! But yeah people are so annoying about that 😂😂

Rude customers are the absolute worst! You work hard, you perform emotional labour (that you’re not paid for) and rude customers come along and take advantage of the fact that if you want to keep your job you have to be so fucking nice to absolutely everyone you encounter. I’m sorry you had a shit day.
