I was in a Safeway licensed kiosk for about 8 months. My biggest tip is to make a list of everything you need to do, and start doing it early. My manager had a little schedule for us to follow, so maybe ask your coworkers if they have something like that? Keep it clean as you go!
As for customers, I worked one order at a time, one drink at a time. It doesn't matter how many people might be waiting in line or how many things they order, right? It's just the drink in front of you, right now.
I'm always super honest about being new if customers get impatient or I'm feeling self-conscious. "Sorry, I'm a little nervous, this is my first solo close!"
