I've been at Sbux for 5 years and still love it as much as the day I started! Don't get me wrong... Some days are super hard but at the end of the day remember - "One drink at a time & it's only bean water! Don't let it get to you!" All of the amazing regulars you will have will make up for any bad!!

Hey OP, I just wanted to pop in here and say congrats! There's a lot of negativity in the comments here, and I get it, but it's not really fair to put that on you. You're clearly very excited, and you should be!

I no longer work for Sbux, but I enjoyed my time there and remember it fondly. I loved making drinks and chatting with customers and coworkers when it wasn't too busy. Rollouts can be a pain, and some customers can be awful, but it's worth it for the good ones!!

You're gonna deal with some shit and have some bad days, but you're also going to make some awesome friends amongst your coworkers and maybe some regulars. I still talk to loads of people I worked with, and I still see some regulars around from time to time.

I love the spirit you're bringing to this already, and I really hope you enjoy your time working there too. Every job has its downsides, but I hope you don't let the negativity by some tired (and totally reasonably so) baristas dull your shine as you start out! A good attitude is super important and I hope your experience is a good one! :)

So how is it going now just over 100 days??

It's sometimes a lot, but if you have a good support system with the other partners and good Shift and Store managers, it can be really fun. (Every closing I have, after about 7 everyone is just real chill and one of my coworkers makes weird frappes that somehow taste amazing. Most notable being the pb&j frappe and the oatmeal frappe)
