honestly, I really like the customers. yeah, there are bad ones, but there are also pretty cool people in the world, and getting to talk to someone and brighten their day just a little bit makes me feel so much better about myself. whether it's a simple conversation, a drawing/ inspirational message on the cup, or just being a friendly person, it's nice to know that you are making a difference to people :)

Ditto. People literally have said: thank you so much you really made my day. Left smiling and come back because of that experience. And that helps me get through the rude customers and the ones who literally don't acknowledge that they are interacting with a human being.

Also though all the puppies really help. I had a puppy at the window the other day who was having his first puppachino and yes, of course it was precious!

Doc Martens were expensive so I actually bought some Steve Madden boots. They are just are good and a cheaper option. People have confused them for Doc Martens, and they have kept up really well.

Also, I’m glad you’re still smiling. I manage a We Proudly Serve (Barnes and Noble style store) some days are harder than others but stay positive, you don’t know who at your store needs your positive energy to get through the day.

I spilled a whole bag of caramel drizzle on my first day lol. I didn't notice it was open on that side and flipped it to check the other side and just carried it around while searching for scissors. Only when i felt the bag lighter was when i noticed.

The spout of the mocha pump once got caught on my apron as i turned around and spilt a whole half container. The staff next day complained at me (jokinly, of course) because some drops even got on the ceiling😂😂😂

Could be worse, this happened to my friend when she use to work at the siren. Had a new person turn a corner which she was happening to be standing while carding a pitcher of mocha. And they bumped into each other. New girl spilled mocha sauce all over her SSV (friend). She felt so bad my friend was like can I get a hug? New girl didn’t think of why she asked for one. But she accepted the hug. In the end my friend said we mocha buddies now. (Both are now covered in mocha)

Syrups are the worst. When you’re pumping syrup, they end up ALL OVER up and down your forearm/hand of the hand that you use to pump syrup with. And then you’re walking around with dried syrup all over your hand and arm, and it literally looks like you’ve got weird random patches of dry skin everywhere. It’s gross looking, lol.

But, YAAAY! Congrats on finishing your first day!! 💕!
