It looks like your milk is just slightly too frothy and thick so I would aerate it less!! And if I have the time I hold the steaming pitcher and watch the milk make a whirlpool until done steaming, I find that setting it down on the machine and walking away makes super uneven bubbly milk. Also, just personally it really helps if I have the time to pour super slowly and ‘cut through’ for my heart or wriggle my pitcher for my leaf at the very very end when the milk is about to fill the cup completely!

ever since we got the new bars ive definitely had a learning curve with steaming, it always steams so frothy!!! will definitely aerate less 😭

Tap and swirl your pitcher of steamed milk to pop any large bubbles after steaming. Your milk should have a glossy sheen once it’s been properly steamed and groomed. Also, you can remove a lot of the bubbles from your espresso by pulling the shots so they run down the side of your cup. The combination of that will give a much finer quality drink.

As far as actual shapes, I haven’t totally figured that out yet 😅
