reopening, all health orders to be lifted - what did I miss? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by zydr8te
Store has been closed since last March. All heath orders are to be lifted in two weeks and we will be open at full operation. I am closing lead. So what did I miss?

For perspective, we closed a week after spring 1 - the first of the wrap sandwiches, cascara syrup was no more, the iced golden ginger drink was new, the seasonal ham and cheese croissant was still on menu.

and a thousand Marches later, it's May

So out of oat milk and probably need 12 shakers and an octopus in cold bar. CR seems to be hard to get, TikTok has made a white mocha thing and everyone wants cold foam on all liquids, even a drip Pike

but what else did I miss?

Also not sure why this is being downvoted. I'm asking a general question so I can be better prepared.

well there were 2 weeks when every. single. order. was a venti iced white mocha with extra caramel drizzle and vscf

Literally someone would say, 'Id like uhh iced white mocha.. with"

and Id finish their sentence. We started making like 6 pitchers of vscf before we closed for the morning and honestly never stopped.

*BUT* recently *nobody wants that trash anymore!!* its aggressively old news! now they want uncut lemonade with 6 pumps of raspberry syrup. add ice. then top with strawberry refresher. not shaken. Make that shit layered or they will complain a storm. it better look like a god damn SunSet

Now this week seems to be a lot of cold foam on pink drinks. and i guess some odd oreo cold brew thing. white mocha cold brew with vscf and cookie crumbles

oh and the impossible sandwich is pretty alright

Sigh, tiktok hadn't really hit, at least like this. Looks like I'm going to have to get an account to stay on top of ordering.

We had a bunch of international customers who always asked for cold foam on ice teas. It's called a milk cap or something. Suspect the foam on pinks is similar.

I need to figure out how to let gb know abut the expectation for non-menu drinks. Customers have a way it need to look, but we're not trained and have no guidelines

Kinda curious how you guys were closed for so long. Were you all on cat pay that entire time or did everyone quit and you went on leave?

Licensed store inside an entertainment venue that had to close for pandemic. They kept saying we'd be open at end of summer, then possibly November them possibly January etc. Finally we were told mid summer, but that has been pushed up.

Our store was collateral damage when no groups bigger than 50 as no events could happen. Concerts and sporting events are being scheduled, so time to count bacon gouda again.

I'm not sure why this is being downvoted. That just seems mean

So did the employer who runs your licensed store just put you on unpaid leave so u could claim unemployment?

I've explained this and more importantly I'm not sure how this is helping with my question?

You didn't really explain it though. We're just curious about your situation. Best of luck with your store reopening!

omg golden ginger....i lowkey miss that devil drink. it could have been so good if they'd just tried harder
howdudo 3 points 2y ago
i remember shaking that up for 20 solid seconds and still having clumps of turmeric
melodiic_ 2 points 2y ago
the trick was to add ice to the shaker before adding the turmeric powder haha
